Cooking is more than just warming up Mac-N-Cheese! This is a cooking specialty camp where Scouts & Venturers can learn some gourmet camp cooking techniques and how to enhance their camping experience with some fine, outdoor dining. Beside learning basic skills, techniques and definitions, the Scouts will practice their craft in both the commercial kitchen and wilderness settings. Skills will completely cover, and move beyond, the basic Cooking Merit Badge requirements. The program will be run by Camp Alumni who are professional Chefs and come to JNW specifically to work with Scouts in this program. This looks to be one of our most popular programs this summer.
